Anyway, I'm back. Well, not back in Sarasota. I live in Massachusetts now. I am in a PhD program at UMASS for Sociology. It is only my second week and I'm already overwhelmed. It's a lot of hard work. Damn. I hope to focus on gender and crime, specifially masculinity and violent crimes. I have to pass stats first.

I've made some friends already. They are very committed, very serious, grad people.

If you've missed the past 2 years of my life:

I graduated UF this past spring. I'm 22 now. I'm secure enough in my identity to say, "yes, I am a lesbian." Sorry boys, not much flexability there. I was with Alex, then Leslie, now, for the last year, Sommer.

Sommer is great. She has a degree in Anthro and was a valadictorian. Valedictorians are sexy. Sommer is sexy. Sommer stayed in Gainesville with her hippie roommates. When she returned from her visit here, her clothes were covered in mold, because her crazy roomies do not use the a/c and they live in an old, rank, house. Poor Sommer. Poor Zooey and Lenoir (our mutual rats).

One of my cats has died. R.I.P. Spike.
